About the Board

The organization is made up of neighborhood residents who volunteer their time and effort to help carry out the mission of the Block Association, and, of course, our donors whose help enables us to carry out various program that benefit all neighbors.  

The association has concentrated on the 11th street block bordered by 5th Avenue on the west and University on the east, but we assist neighboring areas and address issues as situations arise. And, we are fortunate that many small businesses on University Place have been Business Donors to support our work over the years. 

The Board consists of eight members. From the Board, officers are elected to fill the positions of president, vice president, treasurer and secretary. Board members and officers’ terms are for one year.

Board terms were set up in a staggered fashion so that every year only two of the eight board members are up for change or reelection.
